Indeed... couple his horrible play along with his huge salary, and that's JUST what every other NHL team is looking for !
Bidding should be pretty high, LOL... maybe a 12th round draft pick and a career ECHL player can seal the deal.  |

The real problem is you are trying to build a championship team around Ovie and Holtby. That's just not going to cut it.
It's funny that they have probably their best player in Backstrom on a great contract but they have just overpaid so many other guys. Crazy to think Orpik only makes $1.2M less than Backstrom. And Orlov makes $1.6M less. Ouch. |

James, Ovie's having another awesome year, tied for first in goals. Caps, despite the holes, are in a good spot as it stands.
Why not a little glass half full outlook?
Yeah they're leaning heavily on certain players, but still.
The Coyotes get a ton of love despite being dead last, why not do something similar for the Caps? |

Probably not, but they're in a good spot right now. They don't have a lot of wiggle
room, but they're tied for first in the division so something's working as of right now/ |
